Lightweight and durable. Fade resistant and heat proof. Our wood coasters can absorb small/medium amounts of condensation with a slow absorption rate. Treated with a mineral oil that protects the wood and can be wiped clean the oil also helps to repel spills. These can hold a dish straight from the oven! Your coffee and tea are in good hands with our wood printed coasters.

Add a matching TRIVET/DESK COASTER to complete the set! (See pic 4 and 5) Trivet can hold a hot dish from the oven or serve as a great large coaster for beverage pitchers, pots, wine bottles, or bar ware. (Trivets can also be found for purchase individually elsewhere in our products.)

Q: Are these for hot or cold drinks?
A: BOTH! The wood and the digital inks are both heat stable. Both the coasters and trivets can hold a dish straight from the oven! The inks are cured hard to the wood and will never melt or fade. As for condensation from cold drinks, our coasters are treated with a food safe oil (we use a cutting board oil). This oil conditions the wood to slowly and gently absorb any droplets. Or if desired, one could simply wipe them dry when done. Re-applying oil periodically is optional. Any oil works!

Q: What do I do with a giant coaster?
A: SO MANY THINGS! We like to use them as a centerpiece on a coffee table or side table. They are awesome on an office desk as a large coaster or mousepad. Similarly, they work well as a tray. The giant coasters are a striking way to protect your furniture under potted plants or candles. As we mentioned above, they can hold a very hot dish straight from the oven, so they are great for trivets or functional centerpieces on the dining or kitchen table. We often sell them in sets as placemats too!

CARE: pat dry, wipe clean, gentle soaps ok, never submerge. Arrives lightly coated with mineral oil - a food safe oil that conditions the wood. If desired, periodically re-apply your preferred oil to keep the finish fresh and more moisture repellant.

4.25" porous stone coasters - set of 4 coasters

Our heavy (ceramic-like) porous stone will not lift with your glass, is super absorbent, and ideal for cold drinks with condensation. Stone coasters are great for protecting furniture from hot containers too. The porous stone works hard to prevent water marks with its super fast absorption rate, please note porous stone will stain so take care to use these accordingly. Permanent printing on surface is fade resistant and heat resistant. Decorated with our original Tramake designs.

CARE: Rinse spills under running water to prevent staining. Some stains can be treated by preparing a mixture of 3 parts hot water (not boiling) and 1 part bleach. Soak for several hours or overnight. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry cork side up. Not recommended for use with metal containers as these can leave metal markings. (Some markings can be removed with toothpaste, BarKeeper's Friend or a paste of baking soda and water.)
